Peony season is here for a short time but I'm taking full advantage buying as many as I can to brighten the house with a bit of color. There isn't anything quite like a fresh bouquet of flowers to lift one's mood.

ReplyDeletelovely photos. I also love having fresh flowers around, but unlike your cat who is content to lay near them undisturbed, I have a cat who likes to munch on them! I have some beautiful roses outside in full bloom so I am enjoying them in their natural habitat. :)
ReplyDeleteRoses, roses, and more roses; that's what's rampant in my garden this time of year. They grow like weeds in our climate and are in abundance throughout the neighborhood. I love having a bouquet of them beside the bird cage. Our cockatiel sings to them :-) He likes Stargazer and Easter lilies, too.
ReplyDeleteI loooooove Peonies. My grandmother belonged to a garden club and grew them (and roses) to enter in competitions. She usually won the blue ribbon. :) Such great memories these flowers bring back to me.
